Composer Huang Ruo was commissioned by Camerata Pacifica to wirte a new piece for Nick and Richard. One of Adrian Spence's guidelines for the commission was to "make it so difficult that only these two can play it." Nick and Richard will talk about how they approach and learn new music, how they'll collaborate on this piece, and how they worked with Huan Ruo to brin this piece to life.
